On April 19, 2022, an event was organized at ADA University to present the "Roadmap for 2022 in connection with the improvement of international rankings for scientific publications." The aim is to implement the measures outlined in the Road Map in a unified and coordinated manner, to ensure mutual discussion and public awareness.

Independent experts and representatives of the Secretariat of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education, the National Academy of Sciences, Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Intellectual Property Agency, the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as various universities, Azerbaijani magazines indexed in international databases, private companies.

It was noted at the event that the Road Map, approved by the Chairman of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings in March this year, was developed on the basis of existing resources related to scientific publications and initiative packages covering various sectors.

It was noted that the establishment of a single synergy with the active and coordinated participation of representatives of the private sector, civil society institutions, science and education institutions, along with government agencies, is very important in the implementation of priorities for the development of scientific potential within the implementation of the Road Map.

The importance of promoting the development of science in the framework of state programs adopted in this area and the Road Map presented today was emphasized. Expanding incentive mechanisms and increasing private sector investment in research and development will provide a unique impetus to accelerate Azerbaijan's integration into the global value chain.

It should be noted that the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan manages the subgroup "On improving the international ranking of scientific publications (index H)" under the Working Group "Technology and Innovation" of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings.
